Smart Code Door Lock Reset

To set a code for the second user press the smartcode program button twice to program a security code for the second user such as a relative.

Press the lock button on the keypad then enter the security code to resynchronize the bolt. Doing this will often program a security code for the first user. Keep holding the button for 30 seconds until the lock beeps and the status led flashes red. 1 hold lock button on keypad while 2 inserting the battery pack into the interior.

Enter a four to eight digit security code on the outside electronic lock keypad and press the lock button again. Keep in mind that you can create and reset kwikset lock codes for up to four users. Realign the door if the bolt does not operate smoothly when opening with a key. The smartcode is reversible and can be installed on both left and right hand doors.

Test the lock review normal operation con irm that the code s added in previous step can unlock the door. Perform a factory reset a factory reset will delete all codes associated with the lock. Press and hold the program button while reinserting the battery pack.
